“Two Years of Accentus Musicalis”, an exhibition produced by organizers of Accentus Musicalis, charts the international scientific-educational project’s operations in the border region of Slovakia and Austria. The project accents a basic approach toward the theory of Early Music Performance Practice, and hence cooperation in musical interpretation and scientific research.

Through photographs, accompanying texts and audiovisual material, the exhibition documents a series of interpretative workshops and artistic performances, whose mission is to revive contemporary interpretation of the rhetoric of 16-18th century music. Participants from 14 countries: Australia; Japan; South Korea; Finland; Italy; France; Germany; Poland; Ukraine; Romania; Hungary; Czech Republic; Austria and Slovakia have to the present date attended events organised by Accentus Musicalis.

The exhibition will be held at the Austrian Cultural Forum until October 31st 2011. A vernissage of the exhibition at the Mozart Hall in the Austrian Embassy – where the first ever presentation from Accentus Musicalis took place – will be complemented with a performance of works by Musica Aeterna and the Collegium Musicum. The exhibition then travels from Bratislava to the prestigious Haus der Musik in Vienna, where it will run from November 9th 2011 to January 31st 2012, before returning once again to Slovakia. The exhibition at the Austrian Cultural Forum takes place under the auspices of the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Slovakia, Dr. Markus Wuketich.

This successful bilateral project, whose partners are the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and the Musica Aeterna association, is primarily funded by the Slovak Republic – Austria Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013: Creating the Future.
